Freeze the FatAway FAQs
How does Freeze the FatAway work?
Fataway uses a combination of Cryolipolysis (Freeze the Fat technology) and Exilis Laser. The Cryolipolysis portion uses controlled cooling to target and kill unwanted fat cells. Two weeks later the Exilis portion focuses energy causing fat cells to shrink and tightens the skin tissue, stimulating new collagen production in the process.
What type of results can be expected from the FatAway treatment?
Patients have seen a 25% reduction in fat in the area being treated. Skin will be tighter and smoother with full results being seen 3 months after the procedure.
Who is a good candidate for the FatAway treatment?
The FatAway reduction procedure is specially designed for those who have unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise. It is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Good candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of.
What does a Freeze the FatAway treatment feel like?
During the Cryolipolysis portion you will feel pressure and intense cold during the first few minutes. This soon dissipates and many people read, watch videos, work on their laptop or even take a nap during their treatment. During the Exilis portion you will feel a deep heating sensation. The system is constantly monitoring skin temperature while the underside of the applicator provides cooling, keeping you comfortable during the treatment.
How long is the Freeze the FatAway treatment?
The Cryolipolysis portion is about 60 minutes and the Exilis Laser will take between 20-40 minutes depending on the area being treated.
Are there any side effects from the Freeze the FatAway Procedure?
Following the Cryolipolysis procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. Following the Exilis Laser you may experience temporary pinkness or redness in the skin for about 20-30 minutes. There is no special care required with either portion of this procedure so you can carry on with the rest of your day’s activities immediately following treatment.
Is the Freeze the FatAway procedure safe?
Yes, both treatments are FDA approved devices that has built in controls to ensure patient safety.
How long do Freeze the FatAway results last?
Once the treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), they die and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.
